Teaching Self-Sufficiency and Sustainability Through Homesteading
Welcome to Rustic Skills Homesteading!
I am Regina Cal, and I have been homesteading for the past 4 years. I have spent 6 years building this website as a repository of helpful and valuable information about living off the grid.
What does it mean to be a homesteader?
To me, homesteading means creating systems that make you less reliant on municipal sources. Harvesting your own water, creating your own power, growing food, and managing your waste are all systems that you build and maintain when off the grid.
Why choose the homesteading lifestyle?
There are so many reasons to homestead, including:
- High quality of life and fulfillment
- Cheaper grocery bills
- No utility bills
- Own the land, never pay rent or mortgage again
